Cuvée Dumas
AOC – MOULIN-A-VENT
Complex, mature, full-bodied, and powerful are just some of the qualities expressed by Cuvée Dumas.
This red wine is made from various plots of old vines in the Moulin à Vent AOC, located in the Maisons Neuves, Près Ouverts and Burdelines terroirs. The wine is aged for thirteen months in oak barrels, giving it great complexity.

Terroir
Our vines are planted on sandy soils, made up of very weathered and deep granite, making the soil perfect for draining. Their north-easternly exposure allows us to preserve all the coolness of the soil for good grape development. Gobelet pruning, a traditional Beaujolais method, protects the grapes from the sun’s rays, ensuring ideal ripening.
Vinification
Cuvée Dumas is made from whole bunches. Traditional punching down of the cap, daily racking and pumping over, allows us to extract an intense ruby colour and powerful tannins. Ageing in oak barrels allows us to add complexity to the cuvée by adding secondary aromas such as coffee, vanilla, or an elegant, toasted flavour.
